Number Uno

Hello, my brand new blog. It is a late August afternoon and I am taking advantage of some down time while the girls finish up their nap. It has been roughly 3 months since I "started" this thing and figured I would finally put 'er to use.

This will be MY space to call home. MY dumping grounds for everything glorious, eventful, beautiful and ugly that happens in our life. I say "our" because I am a single mother of two and figure since I have ALL these pictures that I will NEVER make a scrapbook out of, I better start documenting our life less than ordinary. What better way to back up all my precious memories and relive moments in time, than a good old modern blog. 

This post is a bit random, I know... so if you are lost... well, welcome to the club. I am feeling a bit like a sailor that just exited a ship that had been at sea for days at the moment as well. Yes, it is slightly liberating, yet horribly frightening. 

Single motherhood is kind of like that. Kind of like moving to a new place where you don't know anyone. I suppose for some, the experience is quite different- but as you will come to know, my life is far from the norm.

No one will know of this thing- at least for the time being.... Unless you happen to stumble upon us. So if you did, welcome and be gentle, kind, perhaps leave your name so I can take a peak into your life as well....
